More than a map: the Geologic Highway Map of Arizona
The Geologic Highway Map of Arizona is a treasure trove of graphic and text information on the geology, geologic history, state-wide mineral resources, and native vegetation & biotic communities of Arizona. The geology is displayed at 1:1,000,000 map scale. The water-resistant, 47”x25” sheet also includes: representative stratigraphic columns of northern, west central and southeastern Arizona; a shaded relief map of the state (1:1,000,000); geologic cross sections; and hazard map of Arizona. (For an up-to-date hazard map visit the Natural Hazards in Arizona Viewer.)
The Geologic Highway Map of Arizona is a joint product of the AZGS and the Arizona Geological Society. Originally released in 1998, it was reprinted in 2012 to coincide with the Arizona centennial.
